Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
DScotia Captures is run by Dulhas, a sole trader based in Glasgow, Scotland. This page explains what personal data is collected through this website, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law.
What I collect
When you use the enquiry form, I collect the name, email address and message you provide, along with any shoot-type you select. I don't collect payment details on this site — that happens separately through Picktime when you book a session.
Why I collect it
This information is used only to respond to your enquiry, discuss your shoot, and arrange bookings. My lawful basis for this is legitimate interest — replying to enquiries is a normal, expected part of running a photography business — and, where a booking goes ahead, performance of a contract.
Where it's stored
Enquiry form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms and stored in my Netlify dashboard, and I may receive them by email. Netlify acts as a data processor on my behalf. My site is hosted on Netlify, and fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may involve your browser connecting to Google's servers.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and booking details only as long as needed to deliver a session and meet reasonable business record-keeping needs, then delete them.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal data I hold about you, or ask me to stop using it. To do this, email contact@dscotiacaptures.com.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how your data has been handled, you can also raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
